Ancient Magic acts as the tangible lifeblood of Hogwarts Legacy. Weaving the main characters powers with the history of the wizarding world itself. This type of magic is an integral plot point for Hogwarts Legacy. Because of this, throughout the course of the game, you will be interacting with all different types of ancient magic. Some of these areas could be related to the main story, other ones could be optional places to get other rewards. This is where these hotspots come into play. How to Find All Ancient Magic Hotspots in Hogwarts Legacy
By progressing through the game, you will know when you are coming up on some Ancient Magic, thanks to the glow your footsteps give off. However this only starts to activate when you are within a few feet of the hotspots. So before you can pinpoint the exact location, you’ll first need to figure out where they are in the world. Completing these magic spots will unlock extra Ancient Magic slots, allowing you to collect and store more magic.

In order to be able to find these spots, you’ll first need to progress through the main story past “Percival Rackham’s Trial.” Once doing to, if you look on your map and zoom in a bit you should now see icons resembling the games main symbol, which is also the loading icon symbol. Keep in mind that if you have not been to an area on the map, you will not be able to see the Ancient Magic hotspots in those areas. From there you can arrive at the locations, reveal the Ancient Magic, and start finding those runes.
