High on Life is a hilarious alien adventure game that puts you in a world full of Rick and Morty characters that are unique and funny as the show itself. Besides numerous amusing details like talking guns and watching interdimensional cable, the game incorporated some famous problems as well. One of those is an ethical thought experiment that has been studied in psychology for years – the trolley problem.
Solving the Tolley Problem in High on Life
We can safely say that the trolley problem is probably one of the most famous problems out there. It represents an ethical dilemma put before a person where they are witnessing a trolley that is about to run over five people tied to the tracks. They have the power to move the lever, redirect the trolley, and save them. However, by doing that they will be killing one person tied to the tracks on the other side. Thus the doubt comes, whether to do nothing and let five people die, or pull the lever and be responsible for one person dying.

The creators of High on Life decided to play this psychology trick on their players and introduced the trolley problem in the game. You will be faced with a situation as described above and will be put before a decision. Both the five aliens tied to the left track and one alien tied to the right side will try to convince you to save them and the dialogues throughout are really amusing.
As far as the answer is concerned, there is no right answer to this problem. You can normally progress through the game both when you do nothing or move the lever and save five aliens. The dialogue you hear from them is really funny and rich in that Rick and Morty style of humor so we recommend trying both solutions just to hear what all aliens have to say. You can do that by completing one path, and then just returning to the previous checkpoint and playing out the trolley problem again.
