Grubby Shares His Hot Take on the Latest Warcraft 3 PTR Reforged Patch: Everything He Loved and Hated

Grubby is back with some hot takes on latest Warcraft 3 Reforged patch.

Famous professional Warcraft 3 player and streamer, Grubby, has recently streamed about the latest Warcraft 3 Reforged PTR patch 1.35. For the last year or so Grubby switched to playing Dota 2, so his streaming about Warcraft 3 got a lot of people excited. Let’s dig in and see what the Warcraft pro said about these updates for the game.

Grubby’s Take on Humans

When it comes to changes made for the Human race, Grubby emphasized the importance of Control Magic being moved from T2 to T3. According to him, that spell was too strong and it was good it received such a balance. He wasn’t hiding his disappointment (quote “Sounds like they’ll suck”) when he talked about numerous changes to Siege Engine, because, as he notes they will now be sitting ducks for a lot of units other races have.

Mass Teleport getting its cooldown increased was a good thing because it is, as Grubby says, one of the best ults in the game.

Grubby’s Take on Orcs

As Grubby’s favorite race, Orcs always get special attention from this streamer. He mentioned that Blademaster’s (his favorite hero) 10% Mirror Image damage is a great buff for the Orc race. His prediction about the Orcs is that they will get weaker than they were before but that balances and buffs are on point.

Grubby’s Take on Night Elf

Maybe one of the biggest praises Grubby gave on the stream went to Keeper of the Grove’s Tranquility getting nerfed. The great AoE heal was heavily abused according to Grubby and this will bring a bit more balance to the game. Starfall from Priestess of the Moon received a buff by gaining a shorter CD and Grubby explained it as a good move since it is a battle spell and can be interrupted pretty easily.

Druid of the talon crow form receiving piercing damage will destroy most other flying units in the game according to Grubby’s prognosis. Ultravision being switched to T2 instead of it being available on T1 got him to call it “the best upgrade of the entire patch”. Night Elf has had access to Ultravision on T1 for a long time.

Grubby’s Take on Undead

Anti-Magic Shell is now going to be taken out much more easily as Grubby points out, and it will change fighting vs Undead in the future. He added that Undead received some buffs that will help them against Night Elf and Humans but that their matchup against the Orc is still a bad one.
