It’s the start of a brand new year, and we’re going into week five for Fortnite‘s fifth season of Chapter 2. As always, we have a few new challenges available this week to complete for some of that sweet Battle Pass XP. We have a few challenges revolving around our beloved Gnome friends and one that might be hinting at the return of XP Coins. Here’s a guide for the Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 Week 5 Challenges.
There are a few different rarities of quests available each week. The Legendary quests grant 55,000 XP for completing the first stage. After that, you’ll receive another 22,000 XP for the remaining four Legendary challenges. Epic, or purple, Challenges are worth 20,000 XP, as per usual.
Fortnite: Chapter 2 Season 5 Week 5 Challenges Guide
Here’s a look at the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 Week 5 Challenges:
- Find the buried blue coin at Retail Row
- Dig up Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park
- Collect Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Holly Hedges
- Bury 2 Gnomes at Pleasant Park or Retail Row
- Search five chests or ammo crates
- Bury Gnomes in Pleasant Park or Retail Row
- Deal damage within ten seconds of resurfacing from sand
- Deal 500 damage while crouched
If you do not see some of the epic quests show up, you may need to get caught up by completing previous quests. There are also possibly some level restrictions, so make sure you’re leveling up your Battle Pass by playing Fortnite often. Seeing as how the quests are pre-defined, the challenge to do damage after resurfacing from sand is now auto-completed. The quest completion is due to the sand tunneling functionality being temporarily removed from Fortnite by Epic Games due to some bugs.
