Fast & Furious: Crossroads Will Be Delisted This Month

At the 2019 Game Awards, gamers were a bit puzzled by the announcement of Fast & Furious: Crossroads. Not just because of Vin Diesel mispronouncing Tekken, but because the game would be published by Bandai Namco and it didn’t look very good. Upon release, this was still the consensus. Now, almost two years after its release, the game will be removed from digital storefronts by Bandai Namco.

The Game’s DLC Will Also Be Delisted

Starting on April 29, Bandai Namco will remove Fast & Furious: Crossroads from all digital storefronts. Those who already own the game will still be able to play and download it and will remain unaffected by its delisting. Any DLC purchased prior to April 29, will still be usable. Surprisingly, the game’s online modes will still be available for all remaining players as there was no announcement of any servers being shut down.

This delisting is most likely due to the Fast & Furious license expiring for Bandai Namco. Since the game didn’t do well in sales or reviews, they must have decided to not renew. Upon launch, the game was blasted by fans and critics for a multitude of reasons. IGN called it shallow and simple while Easy Allies called out the game’s poor voice acting as well as its control scheme. The Netflix show Fast & Furious Spy Racers had its own game which received mixed reviews.
