Codemasters and EA announce F1 2021 is launching on July 16

Today, Codemasters and Electronic Arts announce F1 2021, a next-generation racing experience. F1 2021 releases on July 16 and features teams, drivers, and circuits for the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship. The game will feature a new story mode, expanded career mode, and two-player options. Three new free circuits will also be available free-to-play post-launch: Portimão, Imola, and Jedda.

The new story mode, called Braking Point, allows players to embark on an epic journey and rise through the ranks of Formula 2 for a chance at Formula 1 stardom. It aims to provide an immersive F1 experience, capturing a driver’s lifestyle both on and off the racetrack, along with the dedication required to compete at a top-tier level. F1 2021 also reintroduces Devon Butler, who made his debut in F1 2019. 

Career mode is getting some welcome changes, including a two-play mode allowing players to join up with their friends online in co-operative or rivalry sessions. Drivers maintain control over their assists, and players of all levels and compete together. 

Other features include driver-manager experience My Team, a two-player split-screen functionality, the option for shorter F1 and F2 seasons, and better esports integration. The game’s visuals will also be getting a major improvement for next-gen consoles Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

F1 2021 Pre-order and Digital Deluxe Bonuses

F1 2021 pre-order bonuses include a Braking Point Content Pack, exclusive in-game items, and 5,000 PitCoins. The digital deluxe package includes seven iconic F1 drivers to use in My Team, 18,000 PitCoins, Braking Point Content Pack, and early access three days in advance. When does F1 2021 Release?

F1 2021 releases on July 16 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
