Dying Light 2 released in February to a positive reception from fans and critics. It will receive years upon years of post-launch content updates just like its predecessor Dying Light. Even after the release of Dying Light 2, Dying Light is still receiving support as the game’s long-awaited next-gen patch has finally been released.
The Game Gets an Upgrade Across Three Consoles
Owners of Dying Light can now download the next-gen patch. For now, the patch is only available for PS4 Pro and PS5. The Xbox Series X|S versions of the patch will be delayed by just a few days. There are several improvements in the next-gen patch. These improvements come in the form of three video modes.
Performance mode gives the game a framerate of 60 fps in HD resolution. Balanced mode gives the game a framerate of 60 fps in 1440p resolution. In order to achieve 4K resolution, players will need to use high-resolution mode, which gives the game a framerate of 30 fps. These video modes are present on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The PS4 Pro also received the next-gen patch. The only improvement with this version of the game is an improved framerate of 30 fps.
