Controller support is something that the FPS community yearns for in almost every game. A majority of FPS games released on PC have some form on controller support. This is widely due to the fact that button layouts on controllers have widely been improved over the years and appreciated by those who just want to kick back on their couch and enjoy a few games with friends. However, when you’re talking about a small dev team working on an early access game, things like this might not be commonplace out the gate.

Taking a look at the Steam page for Battlebit Remastered, the game has “partial controller support” as of now. Nevertheless, players who have attempted to test out this partial controller support have been met with a bit of frustration. It seems that as of now, there is no official, intuitive way to play Battlebit Remastered on controller. It has been stated in a pinned Steam discussion post by one of the developers that full controller support was “not something we could squeeze in before Early Access launch.”

In the same discussion, developer See12Run has stated that by using community configurations that emulate a KB&M, players should be able to test what playing the game on controller might be like in the future. This, along with the expansive roadmap they released with the game’s early access, instills a lot of confidence in the player base that these devs are looking to go above and beyond the call of duty.
