Do Resources Respawn in IXION?

IXION can scratch a lot of gamer itches. You get to build the interior of your own ship for city-building fans. There’s also having to maintain a lot of different systems like feeding your crew and keeping the hull from breaking down. You get eased into these mechanics to give you time to get acclimated.

Why Are Resources Important?

One of the most important mechanics is resource management. Resources are used for a variety of critical systems. These include food and water to keep your crew alive and alloy for building construction. Without having a surplus of a resource, you could find yourself falling behind or facing a game over.

You gain resources through specific locations, typically by mining and harvesting. Some resources, like silicon, is used to construct other ones like electronics. So, as time goes on, it’d be great to have these fill up on their own after using them. Or to find a good asteroid that has the iron you need and consistently mine it.

Do Resources Respawn in IXION?

It doesn’t appear that resources respawn in Ixion. Some fans have asked for a mode or option where they would respawn. So far, the developers have given no indication they plan to implement this.
