Dark and Darker Bard Class Explained

Every party needs a bard.

Dark and Darker will have you plunging into depths full of ghouls and goblins, beasts and barbarians. With your bravery – and weapons – you will be spelunking the ancient dungeons for their loot. If you try to picture the sort of people to undertake such a perilous task, you may imagine iron-clad warriors or nimble rangers in the darkness. One character you would not expect is the lute-wielding bard.

The Bard Class in Dark and Darker

Unfortunately, there is currently no bard class in Dark and Darker. So no, you can’t go off and play any lullabies to any enemies. At least not yet, as the developers have stated that they want to add a bard class, and it is in the plans. You may have to wait a while, however, as the game itself has a lot of construction still going on.

There are six classes to choose from currently and the devs aren’t going to stop there. Considering the hype, it wouldn’t be surprising if it is the next class in the pipeline. But some players are confused, as they can’t possibly think of a bard sitting in a dungeon alongside armored and stoic warriors.

Dark and Darker Bard Class speculation

However, like in most games where there is a party of players, there are the support classes. Classes who’s primary or secondary value to the party is being able to make other players stronger or more resilient. Even inflicting enemies with negative buffs to make the fights easier. The bard will most likely be a fragile hero who makes his allies even stronger than they would be without them.
