Many RPGs have a sleeping feature to pass time, but you cannot sleep in Hogwarts Legacy.
That doesn’t mean you can’t change the time of day in the game, though! Instead of sleeping, you have the option to wait for daylight or nightfall.
How to ‘Wait’ in Hogwarts Legacy
Here’s how to pass time in Hogwarts Legacy:
- Open the map in Hogwarts Legacy.
- Press R3 on your controller (you can see the symbol at the bottom of the screen.)
- A box will appear, prompting you to confirm the decision. Press X if you’d like to proceed.
Note: You can’t skip to a certain time of day or night in the game.
Why Should I Wait in Hogwarts Legacy?
You’ll need to wait in Hogwarts Legacy for a few reasons. The most important reason is that some events only trigger during specific times of the day. For example, most teachers won’t meet students at night, so you have no choice but to meet those individuals during the day.
Another reason is that particular ingredients for potions are accessible only during the night or day.
