Bioware Gives an Update on Dragon Age 4’s Development

Bioware was once one of the most beloved studios in the gaming industry, but it seems like since the Mass Effect 3 ending controversy, things have changed. Several key figures have left the studio, and some of its games were not well-received. When a new Dragon Age was announced, people were more worried than excited. A recent blog post from the company assures fans that the game is still in development.

The Game is Still in Development Despite Another Staff Departure

Gary McKay, General Manager at Bioware, updated fans on Dragon Age 4’s development on the Bioware Blog. He started by explaining the different phases of game development. According to him, the game is in the middle of production.

“For the next Dragon Age, we are right in the middle of Production, which is a great feeling,” McKay said, “Our blueprint was completed last year, so we’re now focused on building out our vision: creating amazing environments, deep characters, strong gameplay, impactful writing, emotional cinematics – and much more. The blueprint for the game is well understood, and the team is focused.”

Mckay also took the time to address the departure of Christian Dailey from Bioware. He was the Executive Producer of the game and had been influential on it as well as the developers. More information about Dragon Age 4 will be coming later this year through the Bioware blog and social media posts. There is currently no release date for the game.
