Blood Bowl is equal parts tabletop game and violent sport that follows American Football conventions. Players utilize their team’s special abilities and strengths in order to score points or defend against the opponent trying to do so. Unlock simulation or arcade football, Blood Bowl is turn-based. This means you’re looking at fewer pre-snap adjustments on the fly and more about how to utilize your team effectively during the turn.
Because of how much a team factors into a match, players want their favorites to return for the newest iteration. Blood Bowl 3 looks to mix a few classic teams as well as some of the newer ones. Unfortunately, not everybody is going to make the cut.
All Teams Available in Blood Bowl 3
Blood Bowl 3 launches with 12 teams. Chances are that even if your favorite team doesn’t make it, there’s someone here that will fit your playstyle. Plus, there’s always DLC to bring a team that is best suited to you. Blood Bowl 2, for example, had 16 teams added in post-launch DLC. So, in the race against races, don’t fret too much if you don’t find a team you like from the initial offerings.
The 12 teams available to start the game are as follows:
- Black Orcs
- Chaos Chosen
- Chaos Renegade
- Dark Elves
- Dwarfs
- Elven Union
- Humans
- Imperial Nobility
- Nurgle
- Old World Alliance
- Orcs
- Skaven
The new ruleset that was introduced a few years ago meant a new iteration of the game needed to be developed to match it. After a handful of delays, it finally launched on February 23rd.
