All Fixed Bugs and Errors

  • fixed the card upgrading feature at the gym
  • fixed the mid-life “Clear Past Memories” getting stuck in the final event
  • fixed the bug where the airsquid events and card would not appear
  • fixed the missing Beautiful Vista card
  • fixed the “Delete All User Data” that wasn’t properly clearing everything
  • fixed the Backpack Gear card not working
  • fixed the gamepad shoulder button nav moving to unmet characters

  • upgrading cards now works (ex.: marz1 disappears when you get marz2)
  • increased Colony Food if you find mushrooms while foraging
  • optimized opening the deck menu
  • now shows “Start Your Next Life” on the main menu after an ending
  • improved food supplies notice in the Depot
  • there will no longer be cakes for sale while starving

  • now supports ultra-widescreen monitors and other unique resolutions
  • improved the text menu layout for 16:10 and other resolutions
  • defaulted some machines to lower resolution or lower quality
  • players can now use gamepad tooltips on the Steam deck to always show selection reticle

  • changed the Steam deck default settings and remove keyboard bindings
  • on macs, players can now hide buggy/unused vsync setting
  • running the game directly from exe no longer connects to the Steam client
  • disabled the gamepad when the I Was a Teenage Exocolonist window loses focus
  • players now have access to an optional setting to show controller glyphs on PC
  • there are now backup fonts for Japanese, Korean, Sim/Trad Chinese, and other accents
  • players can now rename the feedback menu to “report a bug”

I Was a Teenage Exocolonist’s quality was already astonishing before its first major update, but it somehow got even better after it! If you haven’t loaded up your game in a while, or just haven’t since the new update was released, you should definitely try playing it again now that the update is out.
