Kingdom Hearts 4 Announced

Kingdom Hearts 4 Announced

It’s been almost 10 years since the internet broke after the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 3. For years the game was a meme similar to Half-Life 3 as many thought it would never come out. It eventually did in 2018 but since then, there had been no news about a sequel. That changed this morning as Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts 4 was on the way.

Don’t Expect to Play the Game Anytime Soon

Fans across the internet were shocked to discover that Kingdom Hearts 4 had been announced this morning by Square Enix. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer featuring brief gameplay footage along with a cutscene and appearances from Donald Duck and Goofy.

In the trailer, we see Sora square off against a large enemy in a boss fight in a city known as the Quadratum, a large, realistic city. According to a press release, this game will be the beginning of a new storyline known as the “Lost Master Arc.” Unfortunately, there is no word on a release date or even what platforms the game will be playable on.

This announcement marks the 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Along with Kingdom Hearts 4, a new mobile game titled KINGDOM HEARTS Missing-Link was announced. The game will enter beta sometime in 2022.
