Ex-Bioware GM Casey Hudson Developing New Sci-Fi Game

It’s no secret that Bioware has struggled for the past decade with disappointing games and staff departures. One of the biggest staff departures occurred when former General Manager Casey Hudson left not once but twice within a six-year period. After his departure, he started a new company called Humanoid Studios, which is now in the process of creating a new sci-fi game.

The Game Will Feature a Character-Driven Narrative

The website for Humanoid Studios features details on this now unnamed game the company is currently working on. The game is described as “a multi-platform AAA game, focusing on character-driven narrative in an all-new science-fiction universe.” Also featured on the site are several images of concept art for the game.

These images definitely show that the game is setting itself apart from Mass Effect by being more grounded and realistic in terms of aesthetic. No plot details have been released so this concept art might not reflect what actually appears in the game. Hudson has experience with sci-fi worlds in game. During his time at Bioware, he worked on the Mass Effect series as well as the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic games for PC and the original Xbox.
