Ghostrunner is an incredibly difficult action game set in a dystopian future. It received favorable review scores when it launched in 2020 and recently came to next-gen consoles. A sequel to the game was confirmed to be in development last year. Before that game arrives, Ghostrunner has received a prequel DLC that is available for purchase.
Ghostunner Prequel DLC Adds New Abilities and Enemies to the Game
Taking place before the story of Ghostrunner, Project_Hel follows an android named Hel who is ordered to stop a rebellion while looking for a way to escape her creators. Since Hel is an android, playing as her adds new abilities to the game. Killing enemies will now fill up the rage bar. Filling it up can lead to new abilities.
Instead of the grappling hook like in the base game, players will now use Hel’s super jump ability to travel long distances. This ability can also be used to gain an advantage during combat. Hel can also dash through the air longer. Using sensory boost while dashing can let players see their trajectory.
Project_Hel also adds new enemy types and two new bosses which can be experienced in the DLC’s seven levels. It costs $14.99 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as PC. On PS5, Ghostrunner is currently free during the month of March thanks to PlayStation Plus.
