Those playing Cyberpunk 2077 on the Xbox One and PS4 have always dealt with bugs and glitches. Every version of the game has them, but these versions suffer the most. This is likely due to a combination of the game launching in an unfinished state and the consoles not being powerful enough. Even after the most recent patch, PS4 owners still struggle to play the game.
Patch 1.5 Appears to Have Broken the Game for Last-Gen Players
On the official forums for Cyberpunk 2077, users have reported that the game on PS4 is not working after the release of Patch 1.5. When trying to start the game, the PS4 will display a message saying that the game is corrupted. When this happens, the game is unplayable and must be installed again. This issue appears to be affecting owners of the physical version of the game.
There isn’t a fix for this yet, but CD Projekt RED community director Marcin Momot did address the issues players were having and promised that the developers would be investigating them. This week was the launch of the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077, which is now available for free to PS4 and Xbox One owners of the game.
