I remember when the Gible line was first introduced back in Gen 4 of Pokémon, everyone wanted one. Or, to be more specific, everyone wanted a Garchomp. And who could blame ‘em? It’s a land shark! A literal land shark! And it’s a Dragon type, which you can never have enough of. But in many of its appearances, Gible and its evolutions always seem to be weirdly difficult to come by. Thankfully, for those who have been in the market, your day’s coming up soon. Here’s what you need to know about Pokémon GO’s Gible Community Day.
As usual, Community Day is an entire day when a particular Pokémon spawns in much greater numbers in the wild, usually alongside some other nifty gimmicks like special Research Tasks, limited-edition moves, and prize boxes. Members of the Pokémon GO userbase have been hoping for a Gible community day for a while now because Gible is extremely rare to encounter in the wild. The bad news is that this month’s community day is not Gible, it’s Swablu (although Swablu is very cute). The good news is that Gible’s time to shine is next on the docket.
Pokémon GO Gible Community Day
Earlier this week, the official Pokémon GO Twitter page posted an extremely brief, yet extremely enlightening couple of tweets.
“Gible. June 6. That’s it. That’s the tweet. #PokemonGOCommunityDay,” the first tweet read.
“Save the date and stay tuned for more info, Trainers,” read the follow-up.
So, that’s pretty cut and dry, then; the next Pokémon GO Community Day will be held on June 6th, and it will focus on Gible. That’s all the information we have right now (though I imagine that’s more than enough for many of you), but judging from previous Community Days, it’s probably also a safe bet that A: there’ll also be an increased chance to catch a shiny Gible, and B: evolving a caught Gible all the way up to Garchomp will get you some kind of limited-edition move.
