How to Increase FOV in High on Life

Change how you see in the game.

High on Life is a colorful world with charismatic guns and weird characters depicting the fantasy aliens we see in cartoons. While the game itself is fun to play,it lacks a few settings for customizing your experience according to your personal preferences.

Changing the Field Of View or FOV is one of the most important setting you can fiddle with early on in the game. It can reduce motion sickness for some players or make the game much more pleasing to play for others. Here is a guide to help you increase or change your FOV in the game.

How to Increase FOV in High on Life

There are two steps to change the FOV. Let’s see how we can do that.

Enabling Console in the game

  • Download a third party software called UUU
  • Open it and go to the General tab.
  • Select High on Life.
  • Inject the DLL
  • The software will show a message saying the console is unlocked. The console will show in the upper-left part of your screen.
  • Now, while in-game, press the “~” key to open console.
  • Enter “fov ##”. The “##” is the number you want to set your FOV to.

Locking the FOV in High on Life

The game will change the set FOV automatically to the default value, so we need to lock it too. Here are some steps to lock the field of view of the game.

Please Note: This step involves Cheat Engine. Don’t run the software while playing any online multiplayer titles, or you can face a ban.

  • Download Cheat Engine
  • Launch High on Life and load your saved game.
  • Minimize the game and head over to the Cheat Engine window.
  • Select “Oregon-WinGDK-Shipping.exe”
  • Click on Memory Scan
  • Uncheck “Writable”, but check the “Executable” option.
  • Now, you need to change the scan type to “Search for this array”.
  • Also, change the value type to “Array of Byte”
  • Search the array for “CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC F3 0F 11 89 3C 02 00 00 C3 CC CC CC CC CC CC CC.”
  • After it shows the search results, double-click on it.
  • At the bottom of the window, you will notice a Value section. Double-click on it.
  • Change the value to “F3 0F 11 89 3C 02 00 00 C3” to “90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 C3.”

That’s it. Now, you can play the game in your preferred field of view. Unfortunately, this method only works on PC.
