Of course, Dragonflight will have new updates and balances but with the current state of things, we can give you an insight into what works best. Remember that just because we rank some DPS specializations lower in our list doesn’t mean that it can’t work. It’s just that those ranked higher will work better when played by the same player.

So let’s dive into the list.

DPS Tier List for Vault of the Incarnates

When making this list we thought about a couple of things. The first thing is the amount and type of damage certain specializations can dash out. High-damage specs that are effective vs single targets, as well as multiple ones, are better ranked. Additionally, their defensive and escape capabilities on top of great damage output would also push them toward the top of the list.

  1. Havoc Demon Hunter – All-in-one solution with perfect damage for single targets as well groups of enemies, with solid movement survivability skills. Even though you need to take care of your DPS in the fight, Havoc Demon Hunter can always rely on his Netherwalk which allows him to become quick and immune to damage while unable to attack. This is an excellent getaway backup for every DPS.
  2. Windwalker Monk – Best in facing AoE enemies, this specialization isn’t so bad when it comes to single targets too. With spells that can weaken the raid bosses and great abilities to stand up to them, Windwalker Monk is definitely one spec you shouldn’t miss.
  3. Assassination Rogue – One of the best single-target DPS in the game, Assassination Rogue brings with it valuable buffs that reduce the damage enemies deal and increase the damage they receive once they lose a certain amount of HP. An array of evasive talents offers Assassination Rogue to stay in battle longer.
  4. Balance Druid – Burst damage and AoE damage is strong in this one, however, it lacks the survivability of some other highly-ranked specs. It excels mostly in fighting groups of enemies and buffing allies. Its all-around spells can help healers save their mana in a raid, increase everyone’s movement speed or increase someone’s Versatility. Single-target damage is still okay so this spec isn’t ranked lower.
  5. Elemental Shaman – A fair amount of single-target damage and AoE as well as okay survivability is name of the game with this specialization. Even though they lack raid utilities to boost their allies, Elemental Shamans have great movement.
