It may be tricky, but it is worth it. Here is how to beat the Weapon Trickery torment in Metal: Hellsinger.
What is Weapon Trickery in Metal: Hellsinger?
Weapon Trickery is a fun torment that sees you having to adapt to constantly changing scenarios. You will must kill a certain target of demons within a time span, but each kill swaps your weapon, and you do not have control over what weapon you are holding.
If you kill multiple enemies in one shot, then your weapon will only switch once, but each kill will be counted towards the goal. Your weapons will swap in an order that repeats, allowing for preparation.
With each kill, time will be rewarded. But you don’t start with a lot of time, and you won’t receive a lot of time for each kill, either.
Top tips for Weapon Trickery in Metal: Hellsinger
Weapon Trickery is novel in thought, but actually quite stressful due to the time limit. It would do you well to learn which order your weapons get switched in, as planning is paramount. You need to rack kills as quickly as you can, so if there is a tough beast, wait until you get a powerful weapon. If there is a crowd of Marionettes, then wait till you get a crowd-control weapon.
If you try to take on a tougher enemy with a weaker weapon, then you will waste precious seconds which could cost you the game.
Additionally, keep looking around. There are hardly audio cues when enemies spawn into the arena, and enemies could slip by your notice, meaning that you may wait and waste time waiting for the new round to commence, when there are some enemies behind you. Keep moving around and looking around, you need to know where every enemy is at every second.
To be comfortable playing this torment, time all of your attacks perfectly despite the time pressure. It will deal more damage, meaning you kill the enemies sooner.
