Underlords Troll Knight Build

Underlords Troll Knight Build

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The Underlords Troll Knight build has proven to be a strong build in every patch. Knights are hands down the best defensive units in the game due to their alliance buff, capable of reducing all incoming physical and magical damage.

Trolls add a much needed offense to the six knight team composition, allowing for a more balanced overall team. Four trolls allow us to benefit from the maximum level Troll alliance, giving us a significant attack speed bonus and in turn greater damage output.

Necrophos makes for a great 10th unit for our Underlords Troll Knight build by granting us the second heartless and warlock alliance, further increasing our damage and providing some sustainability. The full build will require nine units on the board, so it is important to conserve your gold and invest only in leveling while maintaining maximum interest.

Heroes

  • Batrider
  • Shadow Shaman
  • Witch Doctor
  • Luna
  • Chaos Knight
  • Abaddon
  • Omniknight
  • Necrophos
  • Dragon Knight
  • Troll Warlord

Alliances

  • (6) Knight
  • (4) Troll
  • (2) Warlock
  • (2) Heartless
  • (2) Human
  • (1) Demon

Items

  • Age of Chivalry – non-knight units gain +10% damage reduction for each allied Knight unit 1 cell away.
  • Coordinated Assault – troll units give +25 attack speed to allies 1 cell away.
  • Fall From Grace – Human units count as heartless when counting alliances.
  • Soul Sucking Syphon – Allied units 1 cell away from Warlocks heal for 25% of all damaged caused by abilities and items.

Tips

Use a unit like Omniknight with armor or manage items to allow him to get his heal off quickly and deal area of effect damage. The knight bonus will allow your units to sustain longer, and make you very difficult to kill.

Try not to waste money on re-rolling, especially early in the game when you should be building your economy. This full build requires nine units so it’s best to not re-roll unless you are in desperate need of some 2* units.

Focus on getting the 1 gold cost units to 3* early on, and don’t worry so much about wasting gold chasing 3* high cost units.

Look for Troll Warlord 2* as he will be your main single-target damage output unit.
