NBA 2K has truly evolved through the years, and with their latest title fast-approaching, 2K Sports has been slowly rolling out some of the exciting new features and game modes. One of their latest reveals is that the game’s ‘Seasons’ feature will now stretch outside of MyTeam, and across MyCareer, and The W Online as well.
‘Seasons’ were first introduced last year for NBA 2K21, allowing players a fresh way to level up and earn exciting rewards in MyTeam. However, in NBA 2K22, Seasons has been expanded into MyCareer mode and The W Online, so now you can earn coveted rewards within The City and The Neighborhood.
Expanded Seasons for MyCareer and The W Online in NBA 2K22
After careful review of what’s to come, there’s no denying that Season 1 is set for an explosive start.
NBA 2K22 MyCareer
Season 1 in NBA 2K22 MyCareer will feature Go-Karts in The City and The Neighborhood as the Grand Prize, allowing 2K players to cruise around and adventure through unexplored regions in the game. Even though you will have to wait until you’ve reached level 40 to have access to these Go-Karts, players will be able to use Inline Skates as a mode of transportation once they’ve reached level 30.
Keep in mind that with each season comes new and improved Grand Prizes, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to real-in one of these epic rewards as the season progresses.
We already know that Season 1 of NBA 2K22 will be set in the Caribbean, where you’ll get to showcase your skills topside on a cruise ship and explore some of the scenic island courts hidden throughout the game.
Also, to reach the highly sought-after Legend Status in NBA 2K22, you will need to reach level 40 in 4 different Seasons. So, much like real-life NBA players, you will need to prove your dominance for multiple seasons to earn your spot as an all-time great and true ‘Legend’ of the game.
Outside of the introduction of Seasons into MyCareer, there are also some significant improvements in the MyTeam experience.
NBA 2K22 MyTeam
In NBA 2K22 MyTeam, players can earn XP with both new and familiar Agendas, as well as new rewards from Season & Lifetime Agenda Groups.
Each Season in MyTeam will bring in new and exciting challenges, and at the end of Season 1 you even can acquire a Pink Diamond Carmelo ‘King of New York’ Anthony if you play your cards right.
NBA 2K22 The W Online
NBA 2K21 first brought out The W for next-gen consoles, which was designed to be an all-new game mode that combines the WNBA with the MyPlayer experience.
In NBA 2K22, this evolved even further, as now you can match up with opposing MyPlayer’s online and earn pivotal rewards like VC, clothing bundles, badges, nail polish, and more. Plus, rewards will be constantly updated and refreshed at the start of every new season.
