How Long is Kena: Bridge of Spirits?

How Long is Kena: Bridge of Spirits?

Everything you need to know about the Kena: Bridge of Spirits game length.

I remember when I saw the first trailer for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the comparison that immediately sprang to mind was “what if Pikmin were a Dreamworks movie.” In hindsight, that wasn’t the most fair comparison, as Kena: Bridge of Spirits has a much denser story than Pikmin, and most Dreamworks movies for that matter. This game ain’t a quick afternoon sitdown with the kids, you gotta commit to the experience. So, how long is Kena: Bridge of Spirits?

Testimonials for the total play time of Kena: Bridge of Spirits have varied a bit, even taking into account the usual variation that comes with different playstyles. The story is split into roughly three overarching, er, arcs, each denoted by Kena receiving an important mask item. In between those major story beats, there’s a myriad of collectibles and combat encounters, and how much you engage with all of that stuff can prolong your run time substantially.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits Game Length

How long is Kena: Bridge of Spirits?

  • Story only playthrough: 8-10 hours
  • Story plus additional collectibles: 13-15 hours
  • Full 100% completion: 18-20 hours

Just going through the story with the least deviation possible will probably take you around 8-10 hours. To bring back the Dreamworks comparison, a leisurely playthrough of this game would be roughly equivalent to about six and a half showings of Shrek.

If you make more of an effort to uncover collectibles and earn Trophies/Achievements, that can tick up substantially, as far as 13-15 hours. If you want to try to go for 100%, it could take you up to 20 hours, specifically because one of the Trophies requires you to beat the game on a difficulty setting that’s only unlocked after beating the game once.
