How to Thank the Bus Driver in Fortnite

It's a nice gesture

I’m not sure how it is nowadays, but when I was growing up, bus drivers were often portrayed in cartoons and such as perpetually grumpy, sweaty dudes who’ll yell at you for standing up too early to get off. I’ve certainly dealt with some bus drivers like that, but most of them are honest folks who are just trying their best to get you from point A to point B. Whether the point B in question is the supermarket or an extradimensional island for you and a bunch of other people to kill each other, you should still show the driver some gratitude. Here’s how to thank the bus driver in Fortnite.

As anyone with even a passing interest in Fortnite knows, at the start of every match, players are ferried to the island aboard the Battle Bus, the inexplicably flying school bus out of which everyone drops toward their chosen destination. But what you might not know is that the Battle Bus does in fact have a driver. Who they are and what they look like is a mystery, though it is implied they’re an older person. Regardless, they’re the one bringing you to your little shoot-out all the time, so the least you can do is show them some gratitude.

How to Thank the Bus Driver in Fortnite

The method by which you can thank the bus driver for their services depends on the platform you’re playing Fortnite on, though in all cases you have to make the input while you’re still in the Battle Bus. Just to clarify, thanking the bus driver doesn’t serve any practical purpose; you just get a little notification in the kill feed. It’s just a polite thing to do if you can remember to do it.
