This is probably the most intimidating challenge on the Tour Challenge Week 1 card, but don’t worry because it’s actually not too bad. You need to make sure you pick the correct drivers for this challenge. There are three very good drivers you can pick:

  • King Boo
  • King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion)
  • Yoshi

These are the only drivers with extended tongues in the game, and you might be surprised to see Yoshi on the list. While his tongue is not out in the portrait, he does stick it out during the race, so he counts. After pickming your drivers, you need to get Bob-ombs from item boxes.

We’ve found we get the most Bob-ombs while we’re in around 4th to 6th place, collecting every item box in sight. To maximize your odds, you will want to pick courses that allow your driver to get three item boxes instead of one.

King Boo gets three items per box on Shy Guy Bazaar, Luigi’s Mansion, and Ghost Valley 1R. King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion) gets three items per box on Bowser’s Castle, Shy Guy Bazaar, Luigi’s Mansion, Rock Rock Mountain, and Ghost Valley. Yoshi gets three items per box on Yoshi Circuit and Rock Rock Mountain.

After you pick the right driver and course, you need to focus on getting Bob-ombs. The strategy I used to complete this is one attempt was to get a Bob-omb and move my way to first place. On a narrow road place the Bob-omb behind you and you should get multiple hits at once since the opponents all race pretty closely to each other.

I was able to get 5 hits all at the same time using the strategy above with King Boo. Good luck out there, drivers!
