How to fix the ‘alarm going off but no patient in the clinic bug’ in Potion Permit

Hey! What's going on!?

No game is perfect or without glitches. Sometimes you just see wires get crossed. This doesn’t mean anything bad for the game or something like that, not at all. However, some people can get pretty worried when it happens. There is that fear if you ignore the glitch you could miss something or the game could grow worse over time if it’s not fixed. For Potion Permit the most persistent glitch is the alarm to let you know patients are in your clinic. But sometimes, there are no patients, so what’s the dear? Here’s what to do and how to fix the alarm glitch in Potion Permit.

What is the Glitch

The issue with this glitch is pretty straightforward. You’re told at the beginning of the game that when the red light goes off in the upper right corner of the game screen you have a patient in your clinic. However, for whatever reason, the glitch has the alarm going off but no one is in the clinic.

How and why does this happen? As someone who reviewed and played the game a good bit, I personally have noticed a pattern here. Every time a storyline sickness kicks in, where you have to take care of someone based on progressing the game, the alarm will stay on as if that person is still there the next day. That seems to be the only time I’ve noticed it going off, not sure if there are others who have experienced it differently, but there could be.

How to Fix the Glitch

I don’t think there is a way to fix this particular type of glitch, but also there shouldn’t really be a need. To clarify, every time you start the next day, the alarm seems to go off. I have not had a repeated set of days where the alarm went off with still no patients in the clinic. So just pay attention if there might be a pattern and if there are more than 2 consecutive days with this glitch, there might be a bigger problem with your game than my own personal experience.

So far though this does not seem to be a hindrance to gameplay or story progression. This glitch does not look to affect your ability to continue or progress so don’t be afraid of it, just double-check the clinic as you go about your day and see if it lasts longer than a one-day cycle. Good luck and happy healing.
