How to Do Weapon Attachment Glitch in Warzone 2.0 DMZ Season 2

Get yourself an early upgrade for Strongholds, Contracts and Faction Missions

The latest and biggest patch update from Warzone 2.0 DMZ saw the new Season 2 release as of February 15th, 2023. Many changes have been implemented, including the reset of all Faction Missions, new Keys added with more upgraded loot to obtain, and a brand new Map to play on, Ashika Island. Since its release and with most massive updates or new released games, bugs and glitches are to be expected. Most recently we saw how DMZ players could access locked rooms in Al Mazrah without using Keys. This new glitch however appears to only work for Console players. This is how to use the Weapon Attachment Glitch in Warzone 2.0 DMZ Season 2.

How to Use the Weapon Attachment Glitch

Whilst this will likely get patched over in a later update, for now Console players have the opportunity to use this glitch to their advantage. The Weapon Attachment Glitch gives players full attachments on an empty weapon. This will not work for Gold Weapons so keep a look out for those Grey Weapons found off enemy AI. For this reason, this glitch can be used on all grey Weapons you find during exploration on the Map. For those looking to use this glitch, here is a step by step on how to successfully use the Weapon Attachment Glitch.

How to Add Attachments to a Weapon That Has No Attachment

  • You need your Backpack to be completely full for this glitch to work. So no empty slots in your backpack, fill it with ammo, cash, and any common items you find across the Map.
  • Next, you need a Munitions Box so that your Weapon of choice has max ammo before you attempt the glitch.
  • For this glitch to work, you need to find your Weapon again, either obtained in Caches and inside Locked Rooms using the DMZ Keys or off enemy AI. This Weapon will be on the ground in front of you, therefore you will need two Weapons in both your Loadout and Backpack and the third Weapon that is a copy of your primary on the ground as floor loot.
  • To begin the glitch all you have to do is hover your right analog stick over the Grey Weapon on the ground whilst holding the same Weapon in your hand.
  • You then need to switch out this Weapon with something else in your Backpack. It can be anything, does not have to be a specific item. Go into the Backpack whilst looking at the Weapon on the floor and hit Equip.
  • The Weapon will transform into a Gold Gun with maxed out attachments. Pick it up off the ground again to equip the now Gold Weapon. This will swap out the Grey Weapon that you were using previously, therefore you have now upgraded the same Weapon type.

Can you Exfil After Using this Glitch?

That is how to use the Weapon Attachment Glitch on Console in Warzone 2.0 DMZ Season 2. To reiterate, this will not work for PC players, however it may be achievable to do this on PC with a Controller. What cannot be done however is this glitch on Mouse & Key. You can safely exfil with this new Gold Gun in your Loadout. However, when taking this same Weapon into a new deployment you may only be able to deploy with a few attachments on the gun. You will unlikely be able to go into a new deployment with a fully attached Gold Weapon once again. But this glitch can easily be repeated.
