How to Complete ‘Key Elimination’

The Legion Faction Tier 1 acts as the perfect Starter Pack for players just getting started in Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ Game Mode. With Missions dedicated to travelling around the Map for the perfect means of developing your game sense and map layout, to finding and exfiling with specific items to complete the Mission objectives. ‘Key Elimination’ asks you to first complete a HVT Contract. This is one of the easiest and fastest Contracts to complete in the game. Next, gather the Special Key that the HVT target will have dropped on his body upon completing the Contract. Finally, use the Key to unlock the locked door or cache.

How to Complete a HVT Contract

First of all, we highly recommend players looking to complete this Mission to head into Al Mazrah. This is because the common enemy in this area are incredibly easy to kill unlike the Shadow Company Soldiers in Ashika Island. The HVT Contract adapts to the common AI on the Map, so in this case you would be against low-levelled Al-Qatala Soldiers. When searching for a HVT Contract, refer to the Map for the walkie-talkie icon with a crosshair inside, this is the Contract’s icon. Before picking this up however, we highly recommend scouting the nearby area to find the HVT Target yourself. This will typically be a group of 5 members, with the target wearing a Black Vest and white shirt. From here, you can pick off the low-levelled guards.

Once done, return to the Contract icon and pick it up to start the HVT Contract. Now you can go straight to the target and take him out. This will tick off the first objective of ‘Key Elimination’.

Where to Find the Key and Use in Al Mazrah

After successfully completing the HVT, go to the target’s body and loot for the Special Key he always drops upon killing him. The Key that he drops is randomized, therefore you could get either a Special or Common Key upon drop. Refer to the writing on the Key to note of any distinct locations that you can gather from its info. All Special Keys have the coordinates engraved on them. We have many Special Key location guides available on Gamer Journalist if you happen to pick up one of these from the Contract. You need to use the Key in order to tick off the final objective. You should also aim to get this done within a single deployment so that you do not need to exfil with the Key you obtained via the HVT target.

We hope this guide was helpful on how to complete the ‘Key Elimination’ Tier 1 Mission for Legion Faction in Warzone 2.0 DMZ Season 2. Thank you very much for reading. Feel free to see our website for more DMZ guides if you are looking for more information.
