Take to the streets and make this city your own by tagging up the place but beware, not everyone will be happy with what you are doing. In a more vibrant and lively rendition of modern England, the New Amsterdam is a place filled with rebellion and freedom to do what you like. But rebellion comes at a price. In this game, the price is literally your life. Whilst you may have thought this game was all about a comic-style, anime feeling and infinitely cool way of skateboarding in a video game, you couldn’t be more wrong. Because behind every corner is a sniper with a red laser pointed straight at your forever. Be careful, the ollie could be your last. This is Vincent’s guide on how to defeat the sniper, Lietenant Escher in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk.
How to Defeat Lieutenant Escher in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
Lieutenant Escher is a tough cookie to crack with his ridiculously evasive movement from up above as he rains bullets down to you from his 50. Cal Sniper. Whilst you could attempt to ignore the incoming fire, the only way to take this guy out is to come at him head-on, taking no chances of getting hit. When the boss fight starts, you firstly need to work out exactly where Escher is. His location can only be on the bridge above you, but he can be anywhere based on your own location on the streets below. You will have no indication of his location aside from the target that appears, tracking your position as you skate across the streets.

How to Evade his Sniper Shots
In order to avoid his shots, you need to time your jump approximately 2 seconds after the target appears to track your movement. This will guarantee you avoid his fire and allow you to reposition. It is best to get underneath the bridges and platforms and use this to get into an advantageous position that allows you to climb up the staircase and take a lead of faith straight into Escher’s face. After hitting Escher once, you will initiate a cutscene. The boss fight of course has only just begun after the conversation ends, forcing you back onto the floor and having to evade his fire until you make it back up to him.
Where to Find Escher in Phase Two
This reset should allow you with a clear LOS of Escher which if you react fast enough, you can spot the red laser of his sniper and use it against him to locate his position. The problem is however, there are multiple snipers that show themselves at this point, so it can get rather difficult locating the right Escher. The Escher you are looking for is not covering his robotic head which will appear pearly white compared to the black hood that the other snipers are rocking. You should find him to the east from where you started the second phase of the boss fight (after the cutscene).
You will need to repeat this 2 more times, finding him on the far west side of the streets after seeing the next cutscene. He will appear on buses and on top of buildings. You will often need to dash mid-air and keep your momentum in order to reach him in the second wave of the battle. After hitting him a total of 4 times, the boss fight will come to its end.
How to Kick in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
In Bomb Rush Cyberfunk you will find yourself having to battle a bunch of enemies to stop them from arresting you. To fight back, you can either kick off your skateboard or exit from the skateboard itself and initiate a combat move with X/ Y/ B (Xbox) or Square/ Triangle/ O (PlayStation). This is the main moves you will use against Escher where you only need to hit him once for him to move to a new position.
On a final note, make sure that you follow which direction he leaps to after you hit him so that you can head in the general direction after the short cutscene ends.
