ESO Galen Location – How to Get to the Island

Going my way? Here's your guide to getting to the ESO Galen location

Getting to Galen Island once you start to explore the Firesong content is a bit confusing. It’s a high-level zone that includes a wandering world boss and an abundance of Skyshards. The climate is dense and jungle-like. It’s the most northern island in the Systres Archipelago, and it houses Mount Firesong.

How to Get to ESO Galen Location

There are two ways to get to the ESO Galen Location. To get to the Island of Galen, you can look for the boat in Gonfalon Bay or use a Wayshrine (if you have the other location unlocked).

Why Go to ESO Galen Location?

Most people are interested in heading to the Island of Galen to find Mythic items. There are lots of fantastic gear drops there. You can also earn patronage towards The Druid King, the latest Tales of Tribute patron.

The Galen Location includes three total world bosses. In addition to the wandering world boss Preserver of Galen, you’ll find one in the Valley of the Watcher and another in the Grove of the Chimera. There are five world events, seven Wayshrines, and three set stations. The world events occur at volcanic vents.

You may also want to go to The Island of Galen to complete one of several quests that lead you there. The Legacy of the Bretons Epilogue has three quest lines that point you to Galen, and the following story quests will lead you there as well:

  • A Sea of Troubles
  • Guardian of the Y’ffelon
  • The Dream of Kasorayn
  • Tides of Ruin
  • Seeds of Destruction
  • City Under Siege

Crafting Set Stations

Many also head to the ESO Galen Location specifically to find crafting set stations. These stations allow you to make very specific armor. Specifically, you can create Chimera’s Rebuke at Fort Avrippe, Old Growth Brewer at Old Port Mornard, and Claw of the Forest Wraith at Oaken Forge.

Delves on the Island of Galen

You’ll also find two Delves, or small dungeons, here. They are called Fauns’ Thicket and Embervine. Consistent with the rest of ESO, the scenery is positively breathtaking.
