All of the Roblox Loomian Legacy Starters Ranked

Find out which starters are the best!

If you’re a Roblox player, and have ever heard the name “Llama Train Studios,” then perhaps you are brought back to the incredible Pokemon fan game that the developers of the name created: Pokemon Brick Bronze. While that game is no longer running, the Llama Train Studios team has developed a MMO Adventure RPG known as Loomian Legacy, which is just as enjoyable as Brick Bronze. The game has various Loomians for you to collect, train, and battle with as you complete the in-game story, or battle other trainers.

When the game first opens, and you complete your trek to receive your first Loomian, you’ll be met with not just three, but seven different starters, each of a different elemental type. Each of these starters is vastly different from the other, both in terms of appearance and use throughout the game. We’ve gone ahead and ranked all seven of the Loomian Legacy starters based on strength, appearance, and overall utility. All the starters have unique uses and designs, so lets get into it!

Fervine

When you’re first introduced to the starter Loomian, Fervine is the last to show up. This cat-like Loomian is a plant type creature that probably piqued your interest due to its more unique way of introducing itself to the player. At level 18, it evolves into Felver, and at level 34, it evolves into Tahtab. Tahtab takes on a dual typing, being both plant and brawler type Loomian. In terms of stats, Tahtab has the highest base Melee Attack stat of 126, so that’s something to keep in mind when picking out Fervine. However, it also has the lowest ranged defense stat, which falls at 65.

In terms of design, Fervine is as adorable as the rest of the Loomians – who doesn’t love cats? When it comes to main gameplay though, it’s outclassed by multiple starters. Fervine can easily be replaced by the many plant type Loomians you meet on your adventure, who are stronger than the plant cat. Furthermore, the second theatre you come across in the game is a fire based theatre – not something you want a plant type going up against.

Snocub

The first little Loomian on our list is none other than Snocub. This snowball themed creature is the shortest of all the starters, and arguably one of the cutest! It has the highest ranged defense base of Roria’s starters at 60, and is resistant to ice, air, and typeless-type Loomians. At level 18, it evolves into Snowki, a snow ape Loomian, then Himbrr, a snow yeti Loomian, at level 34.

Due to the typing of Snocub, however, it’s a little difficult to see where they might come in handy, other than speedruns. It’s strong against plant, earth, dark, and bug types, but it’s also weaker against fire, water, fighting, and other ice-types. It’s not uncommon to see a fire or water type on another trainer’s team, which puts Snocub at a huge disadvantage. For earlier gameplay, too – the first theatres are normal and fire, which still makes Snocub a rather difficult starter to work with. However, that doesn’t take away from its adorable design, and we can see why some trainers pick it out regardless.

Embit

When looking at Embit for the first time, it’s possible that you’re reminded of Scorbunny from Pokemon: Sword and Shield. And who didn’t love traveling around with a cute little fire bunny at their side? Fermin is a soft, warm little creature in Roria (where the game takes place), and is known for helping trainers stay warm. When it reaches level 18, it evolves into Rabburn, and at level 34, becomes Searknight with a metal-fire typing. The fire rabbit also has the highest base melee defense stat of the starters, at 67.

Unfortunately, there is a reason that Embit is one of the least picked starter Loomians. Though the design is amazing, if you’re hoping to go into battle with Embit or any of their evolutions, you may find yourself struggling a bit. Its stats are below average when compared to other Loomian, which doesn’t make it the most useful for PVP. Furthermore, since you’ll come across more fire type Loomians in the second theatre, there’s not really a reason to pick it out beforehand, as you’ll just find more fire types later. Embit is an incredibly cool looking Loomian though, and it does have its pros, so we can see why people pick it.

Eaglit

Eaglit is a tiny little Loomian that resembles a baby griffin. Unlike Pokemon, Loomian Legacy has a ‘Light’ type category of creatures, along with 16 other types. Eaglit is one of the few light type Loomians in the game, being immune to spirit type Loomians, and resistant to fire, ancient, and other light types. Be careful with this starter though, because it’s also weak to dark and metal type Loomians. At level 18, Eaglit evolves into Torprey, and then at 34, it becomes Falkyrie.

Not only is Eaglit adorable, but it packs a bit of a punch, as well. It’s the second most picked starter Loomian with the highest ranged attack stat of all the Roria starters, while also having a decent ranged defense too. Eaglit is one of the only few starters that have an immunity, and though it isn’t the best for sweeping through the early game, your evolved Eaglit will become a pretty powerful partner to have in battle.

Vambat

Towards the top of the list, we have none other than Vambat. This bat-like Loomian is a favorite to many, having a “cool,” disposition to go along with its dark typing. People like this Loomian for a multitude of reasons. It’s the only starter out of the seven that flies, with big ears and a fluffy tuff. It’s the perfect combination of “cute,” and “cool,” for Loomian fans who prefer both. Its look, however, isn’t the only reason why people love Vambat.

When it comes to combat, Vambat is a speedy little guy. It has the highest speed base of all the starters at 69, and its final form, Vesperatu, builds on this. It has high melee and speed stat and a Slap Down utility, which isn’t fun for opponents to deal with. When trying to take down other Loomians,  Vespuratu is great to have on your team, especially in the PVP setting. When it comes to the main story game, Vambat is a solid companion, as well. No matter the goals you have within Loomian Legacy, Vambat isn’t a bad Loomian to have by your side.

Weevolt

In our second place spot, we have a weasel-like Loomian known as Weevolt. Known for its playful, energetic nature, this sparky little starter is everything one might hope for in a lightning type. It has a white base accented by soft yellow markings, and whiskers that resemble small bolts of lightning. This is definitely one of the cuter starter Loomians you can select. It evolves into Stozap, then Zuelong at the usual starter evolution levels – and when it evolves, you’ll find that it’s one of the more powerful of the bunch.

The only two real weaknesses Weevolt has are to earth and water, while it’s resistant to electric, air, and metal. However, Weevolt truly shines after it evolves into Zuelong – a dragon-like Loomian. Once it evolves, you’ll have yourself an ancient-lightning type, resistant to any lightning attacks, and resistant to a number of Loomian types, including spirit, plant, air, and fire. While Weevolt might not be the strongest Loomian for the story playthrough, when it comes to competitive battles, Weevolt is not a Loomian anyone should take for granted.

Dripple

Screenshot by Gamer Journalist

The carefree water type Loomian known as Dripple is bubbly and carefree, and was one of the first Loomians revealed by Llama train studios when the game first came out. The design is seemingly simple, but that just adds to the charm of the starter Loomian. Its aqua blue coloring makes it obvious that it’s a water type, and the large eyes give it a sweet, friendly look to it.

When you start off the game, Dripple is a fantastic Loomian to have at your side. Since the first two theatres are fire and normal type, Dripple lets you sweep through the start of the game, and build up a strong, versatile team as you do so. It also has a base stealth higher than any of the other starters, so it can take a hit. When Dripple reaches level 18, it evolves into Reptide, and at 34, it becomes Luminami. Luminami is often considered one of the better starters to have in terms of battles due to a hidden ability it has. You can probably see why Dripple is so high up on this list.
