The newest Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life will be a remake of the original Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life that originally released on the GameCube. Alongside quality of life changes and upgrades to modernize the now 20 year old title in the long-running farming sim series, A Wonderful Life on the Nintendo Switch will feature player customization options for their player character especially. How to Customize in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life – All Customization Options
Upon starting up a new game, players will be able to tweak the default appearance of the player character. The options here consist of 4 face types, 5 skin tones and 12 eye colors. These are not changeable once selecting them and confirming the choices made on this screen. The next screen gives three more options – 15 hairstyle choices, 12 hair colours and 2 outfits. This is all regardless of gender, since the inputting of your selected name and gender between male, female or non-binary are selectable here.
It is also worth noting that the selection of pronouns does not affect marriage in the game since everyone and anyone can enter a same-sex relationship with the player character. Name and gender selection cannot be changed once selecting them this one time.
Outside of this we have very little to go on until the title’s release date closes in on us. We at least know that the outfit selections are not limited to just 2, since pre-orders of the Japanese game have shown bonuses appearing in the in-game mail system that gets added to players’ wardrobes.
