When Does Weird West Release?

When Does Weird West Release?

I’ve always loved the idea of overtly fantastical settings and concepts being intertwined with real-world events and settings. When you set something fantastical against the backdrop of something familiar, you get something entirely different, and more often than not, it’s pretty cool. Weird West is definitely shaping up to be one of those experiences, with Wild West gunslingers and lawmen existing alongside darkly fantastical creatures and magic all trying to exist in the same untamed frontier. If you’re excited, then you’re probably wondering “when does Weird West release?”

When Does Weird West Release?

As it turns out, very soon! According to the game’s Steam page, Weird West will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on March 31, 2022. That’s next Thursday if you don’t have a calendar handy. The game will also be available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility. The game costs $39.99, and pre-orders are already open on all listed platforms.

Weird West was originally slated for release at the top of 2022 in January, but after the developers conducted a closed beta of the game in December, they realized there were a lot of wrinkles that still needed ironing out. As such, they made the decision to delay the game a couple of months, which is how they landed at the end of March.

“Weird West is incredible (according to beta testers) but needs some wonky moments ironed out (also according to beta testers)!” the game’s creative director, Raphael Colantonio, said at the time.

“@WolfEyeGames have made something special and we want you all to have the best experience at launch.”
